Introduction

Fisherman’s Wharf, formerly known as Tamsui Second Fishing Port, is located at the right bank of the river mouth of Tamsui River and is well known for its sunset. Differing from traditional fixed docks, the dock floats with the tide. It can accommodate 150 fishing boats concurrently, which is very spectacular. Besides enjoying sunset at the Fisherman’s Wharf, visitors can also visit the not-to-be-missed Lover’s Bridge, travel on the blue highway by ferry, enjoy the beautiful fishing port along the wooden boardwalk, or ascend Lover's Tower to enjoy Tamsui scenery.

Walk on Lover’s Bridge to enjoy the sunset and night scene
The 165 meters long famous “Lover’s Bridge” is the landmark of Fisherman’s Wharf. The single-sided cable-stayed bridge that resembles a white sail spans the wharf and connects the boardwalk and the tourist fish market. In the evening, crowds will gather here for the beautiful view as the sun sets over the sea. As night falls, the white bridge transforms into a colorful bridge as light shines on it. It is also one of the must-visit night scenes of Tamsui.

Shopping, seafood and cafe
After crossing the Lover’s Bridge, one will arrive at the Tourist Fish Market. Tourists can choose the fresh catch and hand it to the stores to have them prepared. There are also shops that sell various kinds of creative gifts and art street. The wooden boardwalk and embankment cafes along the shore are also favorite dating spots.

Go up the Lover's Tower to enjoy the 360-degree panoramic sea view
Fullon Hotel neighbors the Fisherman's Wharf; it resembles a giant cruise ship. Together with the tall rotating observation tower, “Lover's Tower,” it has become the local landmark and popular check-in spot. The top of Lover's Tower, which is a hundred meters in height, offers an excellent “360-degree panoramic sea view of Fisherman's Wharf”. With just a 6 minutes’ ride, visitors can enjoy Tamsui’s beautiful scenery at different times.

At the entrance of Lover's Tower on the first floor is a big red heart-shaped sculpture, “Love in Tamsui.” As colorful lights shine on it at night, the place becomes extremely romantic. Do capture the moments with your loved ones when visiting the place!

Pingxi Station

Pingxi Station is located at Lingjiao Village of Pingxi District and was known as "Shidi Station" in its early days. When heading towards Jingtong Station, the train will pass a steel bridge that crosses Sankeng River. Looking downwards, you can see Pingxi and Shidi Settlement. You arrive at Zhonghua Street once you leave the station. Walk along the gentle slope downwards and you can reach the old street and the intersection of Zhonghua Street and Pingxi Street. The location of the train station is between Pingxi and Lingjiao. It occupies the high ground and you can look downwards to the Keeling River. The branches of the old trees by the gate of the train station are filled with birds seeking food. If you are lucky enough, you might witness their agile flight of soaring down from the sky to hunt.
