Pinglin Ecological Park
On the hillside adjacent to the Pinglin Tea Museum, the Pinglin Ecological Park is a 3-hectare botanical garden with numerous plant collections, including the native plants, aquatic plant collection, flying spider-monkey tree fern collection, tea shrubs (of course) and many other plant species. On the hilltop there is a deity statue of Chajiao Mazu (or Mazu of Tea Townships).
Elephant Trunk Rock Scenic Area
The peculiar Shen-Ao elephant trunk rock landscape is the result of erosion caused by the northeast monsoon and the sea waves over a long period of time, which looks just like an elephant stretching its long trunk while standing by the cliff, making people praise the uncanny workmanship of nature. You can walk to the Elephant Trunk Rock along the sandstone coast next to the Shan-Ao Fish Port, where the beauty of peculiar stones and rocks such as pedestal rocks and honeycomb rocks can be seen all over the coast along the way, while the marine arch created over a long period of time resembles a long elephant trunk reaching into the water, forming the unique gigantic beast landscape.
