Introduction

Located in Wulai District, New Taipei City, the Wulai Trolley, was initially used to transport timber. Because of the development of tourist demand for Wulai Waterfall, it officially launched passenger transportation in 1963, using the workforce to push the trolley to deliver tourists. It was motorized in 1974 and driven by a diesel engine to cope with the growing number of tourists. 1987 despite all the difficulties, the government excavated a tunnel at the waterfall station to replace the original turntable to turn around the train, which we still use today.

After the logging industry disappeared, the trolleys started to transport tourists. In 1963, it became a cute trolley for sightseeing. Although the trolley design is not very luxurious, remember its speed, which is relatively fast. From the starting station, Wulai, to the waterfall station, it is about 1.5 kilometers. Passengers can reach their destination quickly and enjoy the green forest scenery through the open car windows. The Lover's Trail is next to the trolley track, built along the Nanshi River Valley. We recommend taking the trolley up the mountain and walking the Lover's Trail back to Lansheng Bridge, with a mountain wall on one side and a stream on the other side, when going down the mountain. Visitors can breathe fresh air and enjoy anions through this light exercise, a very relaxing way to play.

Shulin Nanliao Fude Temple

Formerly as the "Three Rock Earth God" and expanded by well-known figure Yang Tian-tsai of Shulin for redeeming a vow and renamed "Fude Temple". It was also known for the location of Shulin district Nanliao area, which became a famous leisure spot after cold spring was discovered with the direction by the earth god.

Shanjian Road Trail

The trail is a place really worth visiting. It was an ancient road paved along the gold mining route that connected Jiufen, Jinguashi and ShueiNanDongand passed Shuizhen Bridge (also called Gold Bridge). Travelers can visit an elusive garden next to the bridge which is known only by local people.
