Taiwan’s largest public library is located in the 823 Memorial Park. The National Taiwan Library contains a family zone, a Taiwan research center, a reference area, a reading room, a listening and viewing room, and a study area while outside the library there is a square and a walking corridor. It is normal to see people sitting on the stairs talking or reading a book outdoors. Besides offering reading and information services, the library holds community education activities and continuing education courses.
