“Shiding Old Street” is the earliest developed region within Shiding District; it is divided into the East and the West Streets with Wanshou Bridge, in which the bridge pier was constructed with stones. The century-old tofu store, the unique stilted building as well as the Roofed Street are all scenic spots that tourists must pay a visit.
“Shiding Old Street” currently features the only remaining Roofed Street in Taiwan, with the house being suspended over the riverbed and only supported by posts; it is a scenic spot that must be visited by many non-local tourists.
