Located to the north of Sandiaojiao Lighthouse is an exotic building – the Sandiaojiao Fort, although very few people come here, yet one can admire the magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean here. The Spanish people discovered this place in the past and named it “San Diego” which is called “Sandiaojiao” now. Other than visiting the “Sandiaojiao Lighthouse”- also known as the eye of Taiwan, one can also head northward to the “Sandiaojiao Fort “where you will be able to see Taiwan’s Easternmost Point – “Magang Fishing Village” here. The reconstructed white observation platform building and the dome is enriched with a Mediterranean sentiment, one can even have the opportunity to take dreamy photos of blue Greece, if you arrive here before sunrise!
