Hemei Fishing Port is located near Sandiaojiao on the Northeastern Coast in New Taipei City. The coastline here is relatively uncomplicated. Due to the sinking and unequal uplift of the coast, coupled with the influence of the northeast monsoon, cliffs created by sea erosion are common here.
From Jinshan to Sandiaojiao Coast, the stratigraphic trend is orthogonal to the coast, and the erosion effect of seawater is significant. The softer parts of the rocks have been eroded to form bays, where sand accumulates to become beaches. The hard parts of the rocks protrude from the sea to form capes. Interlacing bays and capes make the coastal landscape here the most versatile in Taiwan.
