The Firefly Viewing Trail is located in the Tung Blossom Park of Tucheng District (further up from the Chengtian Temple). With a length of approximately 600 m, this trail was paved with beautiful patterned stones. As you traverse the trail, you will encounter graceful butterflies dancing amidst the lush green canopy. Their presence, along with the soothing melodies of flowing water and the harmonious chorus of insects and birds, composes a natural symphony that rejuvenates your cells as you leisurely walk along this path filled with abundant phytoncides. To enhance the ecological environment of this trail, the authorities have also restored fireflies. Now, when you stroll on the trail amidst the forests, you will see beautiful fireflies that glisten at night like stars.
In recent years, Tucheng District has made impressive strides in firefly restoration, leading to a substantial growth in the firefly population. Chengtian Temple, in particular, has gained recognition as a prime spot for firefly viewing. Visitors can begin by immersing themselves in the surrounding natural scenery at Chengtian Temple and then follow the trail to Tucheng’s Tung Blossom Park. The park offers well-maintained and easily accessible pathways suitable for individuals of all ages, allowing them to enjoy the enchanting spectacle of fireflies and tung blossoms.
