In 2002, noticing the arrival of the global village era, ATOP decisively invested significant resources in a collaboration with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) to develop the "World Time Zone Clock Movement". It also sought expertise in Switzerland to distinguish itself among numerous movement factories. After 7 years of effort, ATOP has, with its all-in-one autonomous technology, designed and developed the "ATOP World Time Zone Watch/Clock": By rotating the city disc of the watch, the hands automatically adjust the time, and the watch face also displays day and night. This invention has received patents and various design awards from different countries. In 2012, ATOP further established the ATOP Time Arts Museum with a theme centered around "time".
What is time? Themed around "time", the guided tour activity offers visitors the opportunity to experience time through the five senses and fun, life-related activities. These activities allow visitors to learn about the time zones used by different countries, how clocks/watches are produced and assembled, and the important components of clocks/watches. The DIY activities are available for various products, including the clock, wall clock, and watch, enabling participants to experience the assembly of quartz clock movements and design products in their own style with the craftsmanship of watchmakers! ATOP Time Arts Museum is a fun and educational palace of time merged with the knowledge, science and arts of time.
