Hunglodei

The giant statue of the Earth God is located on Nanshijiao Mountain, which rises to an elevation of 300 meters, guarding Taipei 24 hours a day. The Nanshan Fude Temple of Hunglodei was built by immigrants from Zhangzhou . The temple site features prominent mountain peaks on both sides, forming a triad-like configuration resembling a stove, thus giving it the name “Hunglodei”. The main hall of the Temple enshrines the Earth God, the Goddess of Birth, and the Mountain Deity, while the Five Gods of Wealth, the God of Culture and Literature and the God of Marriage and Love are enshrined in the Wealth God Hall. Nanshan Fude Temple is the most renowned sacred place for seeking wealth in northern Taiwan, and the top choice for enjoying the nighttime metropolitan views of Taipei City and New Taipei City. The skyline formed by high-rise buildings in Xinban Special District, Taipei Station Front Shopping District, Xinyi Planning District adds radiance to the mountains that embrace the metropolis, as the lights of 7 million people brighten the entire night sky.
