2024 Railway Marathon Relay Race to Kick Off on April 21 with Excitement - Traffic Control Measures Announcement
 

Entering its 9th edition, the "New Taipei City Railway Marathon Relay Race" has become the most iconic relay event in the Taiwanese running community. This renowned railway event will once again unfold in the vicinity of Gongliao and Shuangxi this Sunday (4/21), along the crisscrossing railway tracks, with a meticulously designed route that stands out as the event's unique highlight. Surrounded by winding railway lines, the scenic beauty along the route allows every participant to enjoy the stunning landscapes of the northeast coast while tackling the challenge of the race course, undoubtedly providing a valuable visual feast. Such a charming race route is the primary driving force attracting numerous running enthusiasts to participate eagerly year after year.

The New Taipei City Government Tourism Bureau has made thorough preparations in advance, encouraging participants to use public transportation to reach the race venue. Additionally, in cooperation with the state-owned Taiwan Railways Administration, extra train services have been scheduled to increase passenger capacity. Citizens are reminded to pay attention to the following traffic control measures:

◎ Full Line Control Sections:
Complete control of the Blue Boulevard from 6:50 AM to 7:40 AM on the 21st.

◎ Flexible Control Points for Lanes:
◇ 08:30-13:30: Single lane reserved for travel in the Zhongzheng Tunnel, with flexible control at intersections.
◇ 08:00-13:50: Single lane reserved for travel on Zhongshan Road (between Taihe Street and next to the Guogang Tunnel), with flexible control at intersections.
During the above control periods, only police cars, ambulances, community buses, and emergency vehicles for local residents are allowed passage.

◎ Flexible Control Sections:
◇ 05:00-11:00: Single lane slow lane control around Fulong Visitor Center (Xinglong Street, Fulong Street), maintaining the fast lane.
◇ 08:00-11:10: Flexible control from the Yanziliao Bicycle Lane (Tai 2B and Longmen Road intersection) to the Zhaohui Temple Archway intersection.
◇ 08:00-15:00: Flexible control at the intersection of Xueyuan Street and Fuxing Street.
◇ 08:00-13:30: Flexible control at the intersection of Neiwa Road (from Zhongshan Road to Zhongzheng Tunnel).
◇ 08:00-14:00: Flexible control at Shuangxi High School intersection (Meizhuqi Road, Taiping Road).
◇ 08:30-14:40: Flexible control at Gongliao Junior High School intersection (Tai 2B x Songyang Street).

◎ Parking Prohibition Traffic Information:
◇ Around Fulong Visitor Center
(1) Parking prohibition on both sides of Zongtong Road (05:00 to 15:30) (including the parking lot on the right side of Fulong Visitor Center).
(2) Parking prohibition on Xinglong Street and Fulong Street (05:00 to 08:00).
◇ Single side parking prohibition from Shicheng Train Station to the south entrance of the Old Caoling Tunnel (06:00-10:00).
◇ Double side parking prohibition around Neiwa Road in Shuangxi District to the Zhongzheng Tunnel (08:00-13:30).
◇ Double side parking prohibition around Zhongzheng Tunnel to Rui Shuang Highway in Shuangxi District (08:00-13:30).
◇ Parking prohibition around Mudan Station in Shuangxi District (08:00-13:30).
◇ Single side parking prohibition from Provincial Highway 102 and Tai 2B next to Guogang Tunnel to Gonghe Bridge (08:00-14:20).
◇ Double side parking prohibition on Xueyuan Street in Gongliao District (08:00-15:00).
