ITF Taipei International Travel Fair - Joint Promotion by Keelung, Taipei, New Taipei, and Taoyuan to Boost Tourism in Northern Taiwan

[New Taipei City News]On the second day of the 2024 ITF Taipei International Travel Fair, Director Yang Tsung-Min of the New Taipei City Tourism and Travel Department, along with representatives from the Taipei City Department of Information and Tourism, Taoyuan Tourism Department, and Keelung Department of Cultural Affairs and Tourism, gathered at the "New Taipei Wonderland" booth. Together, they promoted tourism in northern Taiwan, aiming to strengthen the region's travel connections and showcase its attractions, igniting travel interest among the public.

Director Yang emphasized the increasingly close collaboration between Keelung, Taipei, New Taipei, and Taoyuan. Following a successful joint promotional tour in South Korea in July, New Taipei City independently hosted a promotional event in Thailand in September, showcasing not only New Taipei but also attractions across northern Taiwan, to highlight the region's rich and diverse tourism appeal to Thai visitors. The synergy across the four cities, many with neighboring attractions, enhances tourism diversity and broadens the market reach of northern Taiwan. Moving forward, more frequent collaboration is anticipated.

Initially delayed on the first day due to Typhoon Khanun, Wulai’s Chief Village successfully joined the fair today, displaying their special Magao Beer and inviting visitors to experience the indigenous culture with Atayal traditional dance performances and hot spring tours in Wulai.

As the year-end holiday season approaches, winter travel to northern Taiwan offers a unique festive atmosphere. On November 15, the internationally renowned "2024 Christmasland in New Taipei City" will kick off the festivities, followed by the New Year’s Eve celebrations, the Taipei 101 fireworks display, and the Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival in February. In May, the "2025 Twin Cities Masters Games" will also be held. Whether it’s food, shopping, cultural experiences, hot springs, or seaside views, northern Taiwan offers a comprehensive travel experience. Exclusive discounts are available at the themed booths for the four cities during the travel fair, so visitors are encouraged to make the most of the final two days to discover fantastic deals.
