The first event of the 2025 Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival will commence grandly on February 8, featuring festival ambassador Lee Dahye, who will lead participants in releasing sky lanterns with the theme "Blessings with Sky Lanterns—Everything Snake-cessful!" Additionally, the festival welcomes the International Sky Lantern Pioneers Team, a group of over 50 exchange students from 17 different countries, who will participate in a breathtaking mass sky lantern release to send blessings to the world. The highlight of the night will be the "Lucky Snake is Coming" Light and Shadow Show, an innovative fusion of sky lantern releases and stunning visual projections.
