Introduction

The bona fide gift item to bring back from a trip to Sanxia is dozen or so Croissant (literally in Mandarin "bull horns"). Tucked away in a lonely little alcove of Sanxia Market is Fumei Croissant Bakery-the ﬁrst shop to create the recipe for "golden croissants". They have a tender middle and a crispy exterior and taste buttery and by that virtue sell so well.
