      The scenic attractions along this journey are perfect for the entire family, because aside from plenty of fun, children can also experience different cultures through traveling. The starting point of this journey is the Taoyuan Airport MRT “Linkou Station”; the first stop is the Zhulinshan Guanyin Temple, which is rumored to have an extremely efficacious 18-armed Guanyin enshrined here, hence countless followers have made the pilgrimage to pray for family blessings at the temple since its inception. The solemn, silent atmosphere in the temple is complemented by delicate, elegant wood or stone carvings of flora, fauna and people. The couplet engraved on the stone columns emanates powerful calligraphy strokes of a master. The essence of traditional temple architecture is preserved and merged with modern technology to create the magnificent temple with plenty to offer. After admiring the beauty of the Zhulinshan Guanyin Temple, the next stop is Taiwan’s Socks Museum, which takes the visitors on a journey of art, where they can catch a glimpse of the history of socks and knowledge. Each section within the museum tells a different cultural story and the stunning knitting is simply enchanting. In addition, they can also partake in DIY activities to produce their unique socks and take them home! Located near Taiwan’s Socks Museum, the W & W Museum of Jewelry is an ideal destination for couples, as they can observe how skillful artisans apply ingenious designs to create dazzling jewelries and ornaments. The delicate, painstaking metalworking process culminates in unique, handcrafted matching rings to romantically join two hearts together. At the last stop, the “Asia Pacific Eco Park”, besides exploring the stunning natural scenery, the park also offers a diverse array of entertainment features, including: outdoor cooking experiences, kiln cooking, or scintillating paintball, laser tag or water battleground, etc. These activities are perfect for the whole family and it is an exciting playground for children.

        Yingge - The Art and Crafts Tour
        Sometimes, you just want to get away from it all and reset. But where can you go? We recommend a trip to Yingge. The small town atmosphere there allows you to focus on following the footsteps of art. You will feel recharged and ready to face the world again after half a day! For the stop, we recommend “Yingge Ceramics Museum.” The gray building in architectural concrete has a simple beauty of its own. On display is the century of ceramic developments in Taiwan as well as its future. There are special exhibitions combining art with technology where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of the potter’s craft. For lunch, visit “Yingge Old Street” with its historic buildings and learn about the town’s history with an accompaniment of great local food such as Grandma’s Sushi (阿婆壽司) and Rubbish Noodles (垃圾麵). Take a short break then head over to “Tai-Hwa Pottery – Taiwan Glamour Gallery.” Tai-Hwa Pottery is a world leader in painted ceramics thanks to its extensive experience. You can see artists at work or pre-book a painting session to unleash your own inner artist. Finally, there is “Sanying Art Village” with large landscape artworks dotting the landscape. Stroll amidst the installations that combine life and culture to experience the vibrancy of the region.

        Liulanglu Sightseeing Hiking Trail – Romantic wandering and strolling in Jiufen.
        Tamsui Kavalan Trails refer generally to the major traffic route from Tamsui Sub-Prefecture to Kavalan Sub-Prefecture of the Qing Dynasty. “Liulanglu Sightseeing Hiking Trail” was previously a push car railway from Ruifang to Jiufen with a total distance of approximately 1.6km, making it suitable for hiking beginners’ debut route to experience Tamsui Kavalan Trails. After leaving Ruifang Train Station, go straight for approximately 100m and you will spot Ruifang Food Court, which offers historic pork thick soup, Taiwanese pork chop rice… It is a gourmet center with 25 years of history! After renovation, the dining environment has become more comfortable; with the air conditioning, you won’t get all sweaty while you eat. There is such an amazing selection of tasty food in Ruifang; before leaving the Trail, it is recommended to visit on your way home the famous dessert shop in the area – Misty Cake, and bring home a golden puff made of sweet potato, a local specialty, as a reward for your workout! There are cooling and refreshing lush greens along Liulanglu Sightseeing Hiking Trail. Once reaching Liulangtou Observation Deck at the top, visitors can have a bird’s eye view of the splendid sceneries in Badouzi, Keelung and Ruifang. Stepping outside the Trail and you will be in Jiufen! Many people may not know that there is actually a Jiufen Gold Ore Museum, which is different from the widely known Gold Museum. It was founded by an old miner Mr. Tseng Shui-chih and has a display of various kinds of mining tools; visitors will also have the opportunity to experience gold panning here! Let us bring you the mountain town’s night view of Jiufen Old Street as the ending of your journey – enjoy the mountain town sceneries that grow more and more strikingly beautiful at night!
