      The scenic attractions along this journey are perfect for the entire family, because aside from plenty of fun, children can also experience different cultures through traveling. The starting point of this journey is the Taoyuan Airport MRT “Linkou Station”; the first stop is the Zhulinshan Guanyin Temple, which is rumored to have an extremely efficacious 18-armed Guanyin enshrined here, hence countless followers have made the pilgrimage to pray for family blessings at the temple since its inception. The solemn, silent atmosphere in the temple is complemented by delicate, elegant wood or stone carvings of flora, fauna and people. The couplet engraved on the stone columns emanates powerful calligraphy strokes of a master. The essence of traditional temple architecture is preserved and merged with modern technology to create the magnificent temple with plenty to offer. After admiring the beauty of the Zhulinshan Guanyin Temple, the next stop is Taiwan’s Socks Museum, which takes the visitors on a journey of art, where they can catch a glimpse of the history of socks and knowledge. Each section within the museum tells a different cultural story and the stunning knitting is simply enchanting. In addition, they can also partake in DIY activities to produce their unique socks and take them home! Located near Taiwan’s Socks Museum, the W & W Museum of Jewelry is an ideal destination for couples, as they can observe how skillful artisans apply ingenious designs to create dazzling jewelries and ornaments. The delicate, painstaking metalworking process culminates in unique, handcrafted matching rings to romantically join two hearts together. At the last stop, the “Asia Pacific Eco Park”, besides exploring the stunning natural scenery, the park also offers a diverse array of entertainment features, including: outdoor cooking experiences, kiln cooking, or scintillating paintball, laser tag or water battleground, etc. These activities are perfect for the whole family and it is an exciting playground for children.

        One-Day Tour to Sanxia Old Street
        Want to see a cluster of ancient buildings? Want to see a Baroque-style façade memorial arch? Well then visiting Sanxia Old Street would be the right thing to do! Walking amongst the continuous red-brick arcade while admiring the stores that have names after our own surnames, the glorious looks of the past are preserved here, and it is nostalgia that is sold at the stores here, including cool drinks, writing brushes and sweet sticky rice cake…etc. If you enjoy monuments, you must visit the Sanxia Quingshui Zhushi Temple, which is also known by the beautiful name “Oriental Art Palace”, as well as the Li Mei-Shu Memorial Gallery, the artist who joined in restoring the Quingshui Zhushi Temple. If you have enough time, go check out the sole blue-dye park in Taiwan, learn about the local blue-dye culture, there are even teaching courses where one may participate in DIY event!

        Taking a stroll to appreciate the scenery in Shimen
        Shimen is surrounded by mountains and is next to the sea with beautiful natural environment. Baisha Bay, a natural ocean spot located between Fuguijiao Lighthouse and Linshanbi Cape, with a shallow and clear shore, randomly distributed sand dunes on the beach and clear sea water like a mirror is called "Taiwan Kamakura," Having the capacity of thousands of people swimming in the area makes the place packed with "tourists" during hot summer days, making for a lively hustle and bustle beach! Down the way, the popular tourist's attraction, Shimen Wedding Plaza, where quite many newlyweds come to shoot wedding photos has a great natural landscape. Next, walk on the Fuguijiao Trail to take a stroll along the coast and when looking upward, it's easy to see Taiwan's northernmost Fuguijia Lighthouse, really famous, for it's being a sailing compass point. Besides, the ocean tide eroded stone gate, which is nicknamed as the "Shimen Cave” is seen in the distance, opposite the lighthouse. Going to the east along the coast, the unique Laomei Reef will come into view. The most famous landscape to visit is the reef during April and May. The reef that is full of green algae creates a stunning green reef landscape with an emerald tone. About 800 thousand years ago, when Mt. Zhuzi erupted, lava that was spewed out landed everywhere. The cooled magma formed a special valley terrain in the Shimen region. The lava that gushed out rushed to the seashore near Laomei and thus formed a special terrain and landscape along the Laomei coast. Lastly, be sure to have a seafood feast as a perfect ending of the trip. Fresh seafood is available at the Fuji Fishing Port where visitors can choose one restaurant on the seafood street to satisfy their palates.
